In 2023, the European Young Bar Association initiated a series of workshops focused on the theme of recognition. These workshops aim to initiate meaningful dialogues surrounding the support of young professionals in the legal field, ensuring their active contribution to society through their legal expertise.

The workshop on the topic Recognition Accelerator: Empowering Young Lawyers in Rankings and Recognition” was held on 14.12.2023.  The event was opened and moderated by Sergiy Barbashyn, European Young Bar Association President and Head of the Youth Committee UNBA NextGen.

Among the featured notable speakers were Magdalena Parkitna, Europe Head at Chambers and Partners; Mike De Luca, Editor for The Legal 500 Canada; and Doron Davidson-Vidavski, Partner at Strevas. During this event, young lawyers seized the opportunity to elevate their professional standing and broaden avenues for public recognition. This, in turn, contributes to their overall development and growth within the professional legal community.

💡 The primary objective of the second edition workshop is to share valuable insights and recommendations from Bar Associations leaders. This workshop is tailored to advance the development of young lawyers, support their professional growth, and elevate their status within the legal community.

💡 Key focus areas include:

🔹Encouraging the development, learning, and acquisition of new skills among young lawyers to enhance their professional capabilities.

🔹Encouraging young lawyers to actively participate in public discussions, publications, and events that contribute to the development of jurisprudence.

🔹Creating conducive conditions for young lawyers to gain practical experience and providing mentoring support to enhance their professional development.
