A few weeks have passed since our Summer Conference in Turin, and it feels like just the right moment to look back and celebrate what we built together.
Three days driven by ideas, dialogue, and genuine connections.
Our 2026 Summer Conference, held on 18–21 June in Turin, brought together young European lawyers under the theme Advocacy Beyond Borders: Protecting lawyers, enhancing business & digital future.
During the conference, we were privileged to welcome esteemed leaders of the global legal community to share their insights. We warmly thank Avv. Simona Grabbi (Turin Bar), Avv. Enrico Maggiora (Fondazione Fulvio Croce), Avv. Daniela Giraudo (CNF), and Avv. Claudia Iacobino (AGAT) for their opening remarks.
A heartfelt thank you to Claudio Visco, President of the International Bar Association (IBA), for discussing the future of legal tech and the newly established IBA AI Institute. And to Roman Završek, President of the CCBE, for highlighting the vital importance of the European Convention on the Profession of Lawyer and the ongoing efforts to safeguard our profession’s independence.
Friday’s Workshop Day at the Fondazione Fulvio Croce set the intellectual tone for the entire conference, with three compelling panels:
The opening session, Justice without fear: safeguarding international justice and independence of lawyers, a powerful reminder of why the protection of lawyers is fundamental to the rule of law.
The second panel, AI supporting lawyers, exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way we practise.
The afternoon closed with Italian business excellences share their legal journey and challenges, featuring Avv. Stefano Zamuner (Lavazza), Avv. Gabriele Colombo (Azimut), and Avv. Corrado Druetta (Pininfarina), offering a fascinating window into in-house legal practice at some of Italy’s most iconic companies.
Saturday’s Annual General Meeting brought another highlight we are thrilled to share: the election of EYBA’s new Board!
We are delighted to welcome President Mathijs van Riet, Vice President Federico Camurati, Secretary Fatih Özdemir, Treasurer Bianca Tomescu, and Executive Officers Antonio Iossa, Daniela Fernandes Martins, and Mehmet Fırat Can Haraç. Welcome aboard, and best of luck for the mandate ahead!
