The Executive of the European Young Bar Association (EYBA) serves as the administrative organ of the Association. It is composed of committed and dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to ensure the smooth functioning of the EYBA, the advancement of its mission, and the representation of young lawyers across Europe.
The Executive is made up of:
President – providing leadership and strategic vision
Vice President – supporting the President and coordinating initiatives
Immediate Past President – ensuring continuity and institutional memory
Secretary – overseeing communications and organizational records
Treasurer – managing finances with transparency and accountability
Three Executive Officers – contributing to projects, events, and outreach.

President

Mathijs van Riet

Mathijs is a registered lawyer at the Bars of The Hague – The Netherlands and Lille – France. Mathijs specialises in international commercial and corporate disputes and contracts. In addition, Mathijs has been a board member of the Amsterdam Young Bar and the president of the Dutch Young Bar. In the Executive Commission of the EYBA, Mathijs holds the position of President.

Vice President

Federico Camurati

Federico is an Italian-qualified lawyer admitted to the Bar in 2019 and registered with the Turin Bar Association. Originally from Turin, he is currently based in Rome. He focuses on commercial and corporate litigation, as well as domestic and international arbitration. Federico holds a law degree from the University of Turin and pursued further legal studies at the Centre for Transnational Legal Studies in London. He also completed a traineeship at the International Maritime Organization. Passionate about international law and cross-border legal cooperation, Federico believes strongly in the importance of international collaboration among lawyers — a value that is essential in today’s interconnected world.

Bianca Lucretia Tomescu

As a dedicated lawyer hailing from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Bianca has a profound passion for both legal profession and  natural world. Her expertise lies in business and environmental law, where she actively works to navigate and influence the intricate landscapes of commerce and ecological stewardship. Beyond her professional endeavors, she is deeply engaged in the legal community. Currently, she serves as the Secretary of Young Lawyers Cluj, where she is involved in numerous activities aimed at supporting and mentoring emerging legal talents. Outside the courtroom and boardroom, she isan avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in the pages of diverse literary works. Her commitment to personal and professional growth is evident in her active participation in both local and international legal forums, striving to make a meaningful impact in the field of law and beyond.

Daniela Fernandes Martins

Daniela Fernandes Martins is a lawyer a portuguese lawyer, graduated from ISMAT – Lusófona University, with a postgraduate degree in Law of Minors, Family and Successions from the CIDP – University of Lisbon. She practises in the areas of civil law, intellectual property, real estate law and  contracts,  advising national and international clients with technical rigour and clear legal communication.

She maintains a strong commitment to defending the values of the profession and to fostering international cooperation among colleagues, promoting better opportunities for future generations of lawyers within the context of European young advocacy.

Chiara Palombi

Chiara is a lawyer with a robust foundation in employment law and a deep commitment to international legal collaboration. Her professional journey includes advisory roles in the labour departments at EY and before at Gianni & Origoni in Rome where she advised clients on a wide range of labor law matters, including workforce restructuring, compliance, and litigation. Currently based in Dubai, Chiara is pursuing an LLM in International Dispute Resolution at the University of Birmingham, with a focus on cross-border arbitration, mediation, and conflict resolution. Her academic and professional pursuits reflect a passion for fostering global dialogue and advancing legal excellence.

Fatih Ozdemir

Fatih Özdemir is a seasoned Legal and Compliance Counsel with a robust background in Energy Law, IT Law, Administrative Law, Corporate, and Compliance. Currently serving as the Coordinator at YASED International Investors Association, Fatih is known for his dynamic keynote speaking abilities, engaging and informing diverse audiences with his in-depth knowledge and innovative legal strategies. His extensive experience spans handling complex legal issues for well-known companies and organizations, demonstrating a commitment to the legal profession through his various publications, lectures, and presentations. Fatih is particularly focused on introducing new areas of law and advancing the recognition of in-house legal and compliance counsel as a specialized profession. His expertise includes developing comprehensive strategies for corporate establishment and compliance systems, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations. Awarded the ‘Rising Star’ for Türkiye in 2023 by The Legal 500, Fatih’s legal prowess is recognized nationally.

Antonio Iossa

Antonio Iossa is a lawyer who focuses primarily on domestic and international litigation and arbitration, specifically with regard to civil and commercial law. In his professional activity, he has also gained significant experience in disciplinary law, especially notarial law.

He is an adjunct professor of private law and communications law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

He holds the position of 1st Secretary of the Conference of Young Lawyers at the Rome Bar Association.

Mehmet Firat Can Haraç

Attorney at the Istanbul Bar, Turkey
Mehmet Fırat Can HARAÇ is a registered attorney at the Istanbul Bar and has served as a Regional Representative there for five years. His practice focuses on Criminal Law and Human Rights, and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Law. Fırat is actively engaged in the field of extradition of offenders, having contributed to scholarly works and presented at conferences across Europe.
