We are very glad to announce that Registration for the EYBA Spring Conference 2022 is now OPEN!
The Conference is organised together with the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA).
The main topic for this year’s conference is “The Environment and the Law”.
This will include seminars on:
  • How to become an “environmentally conscious lawyer”
  • How concerns over the environment are affecting legal trends and legal practice
  • Upcoming legislative changes
Seminars will take place between 9am and 2pm on Friday 25th March and 10am and 2pm on Saturday 26th March at the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow.
There will be opportunities for networking during breakout sessions, which will give attendees the chance to put the knowledge gained into use, creating a charter for your own practice.
The speakers will include Mr. James MacGuill, Chair of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and Mairi McAllan MSP, Minister for Environment and Land Reform.
In addition to the seminars, full conference delegates are invited to a Whisky Tasting on Friday 25th March at the Clydeside Distillery and a Black tie Dinner and Ceilidh on the evening of Saturday 26th March in the Glasgow Science Centre. This will include traditional Scottish entertainment, full dinner and dancing.
This is a great opportunity to network and socialise after what has been a demanding and isolating last two years.

The Whisky Tasting is sponsored by DWF.

The Ceilidh drinks reception is kindly sponsored by Ledingham Chalmers.

Two ticket types are available:
– Seminar only: This ticket covers the day-time seminars only. The ticket price includes seminars on the Friday and Saturday with light refreshments provided.
– Full conference: This ticket includes the seminars and social events
EYBA and SYLA members benefit from a reduced fee for the conference.
All attendees will receive a “goody bag” of items provided by SYLA and sponsors. Attendees will also receive a conference brochure in PDF form in advance of the conference, which will provide full details of the conference, travel tips and contact details.
Attendees are welcome to join us on the Thursday 24th March (7PM) for a relaxed evening social  gathering at Kong Glasgow.
